Schilthorn/Piz Gloria
As the longest aerial cableway in the Alps, the Schilthorn/Piz Gloria
provides the most unimpeded panoramic views in Switzerland. Over 200
mountain peaks in a spectacular landscape are revealed as the world's
first revolving mountaintop restaurant slowly turns. The legendary "Martini,
shaken not stirred" can be tasted at the James Bond Bar, made famous
by the film, On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
From the top of the Schilthorn, at almost 9,842 ft (3,000 meters) altitude,
you can admire Switzerland's most breathtaking 360º alpine panorama.
For James Bond fans, the Schilthorn was transformed into the "Piz
Gloria" for the filming of "On Her majesty's Secret Service."
Dramatic views of snow-covered mountain peaks and the modern aerial
cable way gliding all the way to the mountain summit led United Artists
to choose the Schilthorn.
