Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe – UNESCO World Heritage
Already the altitude could make you swoon: 3,454 m (11,300 ft) above sea level! From here, you can observe the most spectacular peaks of the Berner Oberland, as well as glaciers as far as the eye can see. Get here by taking the 9.5 km-long train ride, hewn right into the Eiger North Face, snaking its way up to the top from the Kleine Scheidegg. But the views along the way are dwarfed in their magnificence by what awaits the visitor at the top! No other mountain train in the whole of Europe ascends a higher altitude! The inner world of this icy beauty can be seen at the Ice Palace, a large cave hewn 200 meters into the glacier. It is adorned with ice sculptures depicting animals and figures from all over the world that change regularly.

Schilthorn - Piz Gloria (2970m/9744ft)
The Schilthorn, the one of the nicest panorama cableway in the Alps and the steep snowy slopes provided the perfect location for thrilling action scenes in the James Bond film "On Her Majesty's Secret Service". An incomparable setting, dramatic views of snow-covered mountain peaks and a modern aerial cableway gliding all the way to the mountain summit, led United Artists to choose the Schilthorn as a stage for their spectacular production.

Thunersee
The Lake Thun area is a lovely setting for your holidays. Silver sparkling mountains, mysterious caves, cruises on the lake, hiking, biking, cableways taking you to the summits or simply go for a stroll in Thun.

Trümmelbach Falls - Water in a Corset of Stone
The Lauterbrunnen Valley has many famous waterfalls. Europe's wildest glacier canyon and the largest subterranean waterfalls are not visible at first glance: the ten cascades of the Trümmelbach near Lauterbrunnen are hidden behind rock walls. This natural wonder is accessible by means of an elevator, galleries, tunnels, trails and platforms. Once inside, one can admire the melting snow waters of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau that come crashing down thunderously.

Swiss Open Air Museum Ballenberg
Ballenberg is an open air museum that displays traditional buildings and architecture from all over the country. It has over 100 original buildings that have been transported from their original sites. In addition to the main attraction of the buildings themselves some of the industrial and crafting buildings still operate to give demonstrations of traditional rural crafts, techniques and cheese making. There are also a sizable number of farmyard animals in the grounds.

Heimwehfluh Mountain
From Interlaken West the old-timer funicular (built in 1906) takes you to the beautiful Heimwehfluh vantage point above Interlaken. Attractions here include beautiful woodland paths, an open-air model railway, an exciting bob run from the top all the way down to the base station in Interlaken and a spacious play area for children. The summit restaurant serves a choice of snacks. One of the two bob runs is 400 m long and the second one is 800m long.
