How to Get There


From Zürich-Airport you get to Engelberg within 2 hours by train or within 1.5 hours by car or coach. The best way to discover the village of Engelberg is to walk around or to take a local bus, which brings you to the cable car to get to the Mt Titlis.

Sightseeing

The Engelberg Benedictine monastery was founded in 1120 and is worth a visit. If you have enough time on hand a visit to the Monatery Church will give you the chance to take a look at the world’s biggest organ displayed inside.

Insider Tip

The Brunni Mountain is located on the sunny side of Engelberg. From the top of this mountain there is a wonderful view of the Titlis. There are several hiking paths for all skill levels. In the summer s one can take the barefoot path through the Härzlisee (Heart Lake) at 1860 m (6100 ft) above sealevel. In the winte rs there is a 2.5 km long tobogganing slope which offers a lot of fun.
